No self-respecting list of performers to be seen before they die would begin anywhere else. Wayne Newton, Mr. Las Vegas, is an absolute must see.

No one captures classic Vegas style better than Wayne. I had the opportunity to see Mr. Las Vegas during his final performances at the legendary Stardust.

While plastic surgery keeps the man looking young, albeit obviously tucked, tabbed, and pulled, there’s no fixing his vocal chords. They’re shot. That clearly stated, I urge you to make plans to see this legend of the stage. What he lacks in voice, Wayne more than makes up for in style, charm, charisma, and generosity.

Of course he performs his classic hits. He also showcases his talented band and backup singers. And, at least the evening I saw him, he took the time to go out into the audience, shaking hands and kissing lips all the way. More than one pair of ladies panties, beyond the staged joke, landed at the old man’s feet. It was obvious to this attendee that a number of those over the hill audience ladies were suddenly twenty-one years old again.
