Tom Petty puts on one hell of a show. The night I saw them it was a rather empty house in Las Vegas. The advantage there was that we were able to move from out good seats to a few further back. I admit it, I’m starting to get old myself and my ears rang for several days after seeing Tom live.

What can I say? Petty is so fucking cool. There he was, commanding the stage, smoking between numbers, and literally rocking the house.

It’s still great music to be stoned to, but of course we’re no longer allowed to smoke in the Vegas venues. My advice, as if you need it: toke up in the parking lot and be sure to save your ticket stub so you can head back out for a tune up.

Tom’s still on the young side when you look at most of the others on this list, but I highly recommend you see him. Hell, he’s a rock star so one never knows what’s going to happen.
