Brilliant. If you want to see the torch barer of the blues, one of the last remaining old times, add Etta James to your list.

I first saw Etta a number of years ago at the Las Vegas Hilton. It felt like a family affair with her son and grandson on stage. That was a terrific concert. Now, a few years have passed and she’s performing regularly in Las Vegas.

Like so many of the older headliners, you rarely find Ms. James on the strip. Instead she’s at the locals casinos. While that may be a blow to the egos of such tremendous performers as Ms. James, it’s certainly a super opportunity to see such legends at affordable prices.

For more than five decades, Ms. James has been savoring soul. Do anything in your power to see one of the all time great performers before it’s too late.
